Many churches consider Easter the “Super Bowl” of Sunday mornings. They pull out all the stops and do some unusual things beyond what a normal Sunday morning would be. We get that. It’s a really important day. But at Portico Church that’s not really our style. Most of what we do will be pretty normal.
We’re going to dress pretty casual, like usual.
Some people will arrive late. (It will drive the pastor crazy. But hey, that’s life!)
Our worship band will lead us in a few upbeat modern worship songs.
We’ll hear the story of the resurrection of Jesus from scripture.
There will be a short message with the theme: Reasons to Rejoice.
We’ll sing a few more songs, finish about 10:45am and close with some announcements.
We won’t pass an offering basket, but we’ll mention the baskets at the back.
We’ll encourage everyone to stick around to connect over coffee and snacks.
We don’t know what your church experience is, but this is pretty normal for us.
If this kind of thing resonates with you, we would love for you to join us this Easter!
Sunday, April 5 @ 9:30am
